Would you cheat?

I was listening to the Texans radio network station here in Houston, ( shout out all the Hou - Dats ) and the guy posed a great question. Basically he asked if you were the GM of a team would you cheat with the NFL the way it currently is. I 'll pose the same question, they haven't come out and said what the penalties would be so as of yet they aren't taking draft picks, mostly just fines. So would you contact, prospective free agents and do everything except sign them, be in talks about what the offensive and defensive strategies will be this season with current players.....etc.

No. Reason being, character would be the apex of what I would want to bring on board and that character starts at the top.

I usually try to do the right thing because if you don't there will be repercussions. :beatnik:

No.

There are many situations where you can construe that there is an unfairness. Fundamentally that is life. How and what you do about it is what you are. That applies whether you repesent "just" yourself or a group of people, or an organisation.

I could try for hours and not word it any better than this.

yes i would. when you flash money in front of a free agents face the last thing he is worried about is the character of the guy signing his check. i would have deals ready to sign for sure. if not then you wont get anyone.

That can be accomplished with generic contracts that are easily adjusted to fit the guys (or position) you're interested in. I don't think that qualifies as cheating.
