I think the Raiders should change their colors to pink and sky-blue now that there will be new ownership. Imagine the effect that would have on the black-hole Raider nation! LOL

The last of the old schoolers.

This (the one my hat is in - not my heart) city owes a great deal to him. The Raiders bring in alot of money to this city - and my god do people her love them!

Does this mean I have to forgive him for the LA experiment?

Move back to LA (once more).

Condolences to his family, but like some have already mentioned before, I was never a fan of his and ultimately this will probably benefit the franchise.

Rest In Peace Mr Davis. You were a great friend to football. Thank You.

No Al Davis -> No Raiders success -> No AFL boom -> No AFL/NFL merger -> No NFL expansion -> No Saints

I don't think this is a stretch. We all owe Al a lot.

Alaska has it right. However, Al has been one of their problems for several years now. He was what Jerry Jones will be in 15 yrs. It has been time for a change in Oakland for a while. Outside of football, R.I.P. and sorry to his family. Inside of football, his contributions are without question.
