this makes very little sense:
TB has no marquee players, and doesn't draw particularly well or travel well
Man U plays their games 200 miles away, so I don't see the Glazer connection, including the fact that London hates United

But... if TB wants to jettison a home game every year, let 'em

I guess that's my point-- the money would be be there if it was Dallas, or Pitt, or us. With Tampa I don't see it

Tampon Bay Queens...sounds about right...

SaintsBro 10-12-2011 01:57 PM

Tampa Bay has one of the more fickle home crowd fan bases in the league...they are almost dead last in attendance, and have had many many games blacked out on TV locally in Tampa Bay, which these days in the modern era is actually far more unusual than it used to be (most teams sell enough tickets ahead of time to be on local TV)...so this move would not surprise me one bit.

The money is NOT there in Tampa Bay, in Raymond James stadium, so why not play to packed crowds in England? It makes sense.
