|Mitch| 12-04-2011 04:48 PM

SmashMouth 12-04-2011 05:49 PM

I heard it was 2 number ones. :bng:

jcp026 12-04-2011 06:38 PM

He's playing well...and hasn't said anything dumb for a while. Things are going good for Bush.

mike27 12-07-2011 11:55 AM

Yea, Miami is really kicking ass lately. I'd hate to be a team who needed the win for the playoffs, going into a game with them at this point. I always liked Bush. Unfortunately, he just had his injuries just when he was beginning to peak. He might not have been a great runner on a regular basis, and he did tend to move toward the sideline so predictably that people knew to play him that way, but in a clutch, he could be pretty great, and I loved the way he'd vault up over the defense on the corners. He played his part. He just got a little too expensive.

Luda34 12-07-2011 12:11 PM

Wish him the best but I have moved on

dizzle88 12-07-2011 06:39 PM

Darren sproles......enough said

I'm Happy that reggie is doing well, means we get a better draft pick

QBREES9 12-08-2011 08:26 AM

Man let him have the best year of his career. We need the draft picks. !

Mardigras9 12-13-2011 03:49 PM

Hard to believe this far into the year and no injury. Hmm, suspicious. Whatever, glad he is helping us finally.

73Saint 12-13-2011 03:58 PM

Seriously, what are the specs of that trade? What do we get in return, draft pick-wise??

Nobody knows. Rumor is it will be a late round pick. Regardless, we really shouldn't have got anything as someone else stated. If we end up moving up anymore that would be like stealing candy from a premature baby as Peter Griffin says.

Just sux we don't have a number one next year!!!

Crusader 12-14-2011 01:10 AM

Bush is quietly having a nice season. A career best 770yds rushing with a 4.6 avg (second best career). 40 receptions for 264 yards. The average here is a little lower than what he previously has had but it is still decent. His punt return average of 8.7 is the second highest of his career, I'm still claiming that blocking on ST was his biggest problem in that department for us.

QBREES9 12-15-2011 09:28 AM

I hope he make the Pro Bowl. Two second round picks. I'll take that.

Mark ingram we just took him last year. ;)

homerj07 12-15-2011 09:46 AM

It would be nice to know exactly what we can get for him.
Anything we get is going to make us come out ahead.

SaintsBro 12-16-2011 08:53 AM

Also keep in mind, even if they are only lower round picks for the Reggie trade...just think how well the Saints tend to do with players who are those under-the-radar, low-round picks...just sayin' !

Imagine if the trade would be a low pick that would net us somebody like Colston, Payton and loomis would look like geniuses.

FireVenturi 12-18-2011 09:56 AM

Dar-ren!!!! Dar-ren!!!!

Cory9289 12-18-2011 03:12 PM

He killed it again.

I'm really happy for the guy. Must be his best rushing performance so far in his career. Only 27 yards away from 1000 which only makes me think the Saints used him the wrong way. He is proving he is a RB and not an expensive decoy.

Danno 12-18-2011 04:19 PM

Great for Reggie. 200yards, and there was only 1 huge run of 76. It was probably as good a game running as he's ever had.

Even if you remove the 76 yarder he still averaged 5.3 per carry.

Sorry to tell you guys this, but I'd heard it was a 4th rounder if he played well.

Looks like a win-win deal for both teams. :drink:

Indeed ... guess he showed us ...

dizzle88 12-18-2011 06:17 PM

I'm happy that he's doing well, but i am way more happy that we have sproles instead of Reggie

Reggie is a good player, we may have used him wrong but injuries don't lie and he couldnt stay healthy for us.

Sproles is better for us, good luck to reggie,

Cory9289 12-18-2011 06:27 PM

Really happy for him as well, I knew he had talent, but it wasn't the fit for us. We got Sproles who is getting it done, and RB is getting it done elsewhere.

hitta 12-18-2011 07:01 PM

Reggie didn't fit our offense, simply put. We spread the ball around too much to different players to allow Reggie to get enough touches to get into a rhythm. He's very much a rhythm runner(like a Barry Sanders, though not saying he is Barry Sanders) who has a bunch of negative plays, but kind of continually works at manipulating the defense in order to finally find some hole. It is almost as if he learns what to do to a defense the more and more touches he gets. The way we used him in our offense was 1 touch every so often and it ended up putting him into situations where he'd just get tackled in the backfield. There was no way he'd ever have worked in our offense to full potential. Sproles fits our offense much better.

jcp026 12-18-2011 07:12 PM

Looks like he's going to crack 1,000 yards and play all 16 games. Huge game today. I don't know how much he has to do get get us the best pick possible, but I think he's going to do it.

Two number 2 this years and next years ? Way to go Reggie.

Mardigras9 12-20-2011 07:31 PM

Reggie didn't fit our offense because we have an unselfish offense. Good for him, he finally got what he wanted and we got what we wanted in Sproles.

QBREES9 12-23-2011 10:52 PM

The Dolphins completed a trade for Bush on Thursday by negotiating a new contract with him. Saints coach Sean Payton confirmed the deal, which sends reserve safety Jonathon Amaya to New Orleans and also involves an exchange of undisclosed draft picks.
