Jaws Out as Analyst on MNF!

Football analyst Ron Jaworski has signed a five-year extension with ESPN, however he will no longer serve as the co-host for Monday Night Football, according to a press release from the network.

ESPN will instead move to a two-man broadcasting team for Monday Night Football, featuring Mike Tirico and Jon Gruden.

“I thank Ron for the great contributions he has made to Monday Night Football,” said ESPN president John Skipper. “With two strong analysts in Ron and Jon, these moves will better utilize their strengths and benefit our entire NFL presentation.”

Jaworski, a former NFL quarterback, had served in the Monday Night Football both since 2007.

I liked him in there. He was much better than some of the ones they had in the past.

I liked him a lot in there when Gruden wasn't dominating the air time... which happened the majority of the time.

I too really liked Jaws. I also think he and Gruden worked well with each other.

You are right about Gruden dominating the air, but I also think that Gruden and Jaws had a good, harmless banter between them. They playfully disagreed with each other, and I thought they made a good, 'good-cop, bad-cop' duo.

More bad TV. Jaws was very good. Gruden loves everybody. He kissing butt so he can get back into coaching.

They dropped the wrong guy. Gruden's use of props and silly nicknames don't do it for me. Jaws is smarter and more professional.

Come on, seriously, why did they drop Jaws?

It's like they finally get a little stability and poof.

Would have preferred Tirico and Jaws!
