Depriving Drew Brees of Nicks is a win-win for the Bucs in the rugged NFC South.
That might have been true, except we signed Grubbs

Exactly, but the media doesn't want to acknowledge that because they aren't going to report anything positive about the Saints for a while.

I like how in the same slide they didn't even criticize the Wright signing and the $15M they gave him in guaranteed money.

Yeah, every single segment on TV where people are "breaking down" the supposed best off season moves, I have yet to hear anyone bring up any of the players we've signed. People are trying to say Denver has had the best offseason just because they signed Peyton Manning. With all due respect to Peyton and the career he's had, the guy is 36 and coming off neck surgery. How can anyone possibly know what he'll do? But even if he is good, how many years does he really have left? They practically went bankrupt just to sign one guy who may or may not be any good, and lost Brodrick Bunkley in the process (Thanks for that, by the way, Bronchitis).

The Saints have made some unbelievable moves, by any teams' normal standards. But given all the controversy and the little bit of cash the Saints had left in their pockets to make these moves, they still got it done and that should be applauded by everyone. But we're the only one's who seem to notice.

True, we lost an A-Plus player at an A-Plus salary and replaced him with an A-Minus player at a B-Plus salary.

In todays NFL, resource allocation is crucial to a teams long term viability. In my opinion this was a true win-win for both teams.

We replaced a great player with a great player and saved a boatload of money too. The Bucs got a stud LG. No one lost this exchange.

We needed Nicks so bad, it wasn't funny. You guys were able to sign Grubbs right after. Good job by your FO.
