They screwed up the Pro Bowl just like the NFL. It's in a steep spiral down. On the the bright side maybe rugby will gain in popularity.

When you go back to old school football, right after the merger, where guys didn't even really make that much money, a free trip to Hawaii with the family after the season was over, to play in an exhibition game was a BIG DEAL and an honor. Nowadays, with the salaries these guys make, it's not so much of an event. And they (Goodell) really absolutely ruined it by putting it before the Super Bowl.

It's been a long time since I enjoyed a Pro Bowl and wouldn't miss it if they quit playing it ... when they say the NFL intends to honor Pro Bowl incentives even if they don't play a Pro Bowl, how does that work? ... that's a pretty creative twist on legalise,

... "we'll honor your incentive to make the Pro Bowl, but won't have to pay it out because there is no Pro Bowl? ... this NFL contract stuff is more complicated then I thought.
