Berry also was arrested earlier in the offseason on suspicion of DUI.

Berry was released due to "personal conduct which adversely affects the club" according to the team.

"We have repeatedly stressed to everyone in our organization that there will be appropriate consequences when an expected standard of behavior is not upheld," Lions president Tom Lewand said in a statement.

Good for you and your team. Pull the bad weeds out....and move on

Beastmode 07-23-2012 04:42 PM

You can't build anything with people like that. Glad you guys moved on. There is too much talent on that team right now to let a few bad apples ruin it all and believe me, they will.

Its gonna hurt SLoMo, but its the right thing in the long run.

I just gained a bit mo respect for your Lions.

You live by it, you die by it.

... me too, hope the rest of the repeat offenders on that squad were taking notes.

Sorry SloMo to see your team having that trouble but hey, Berry didn't get the message, your Lions do better without him I guess. Troublemakers are poison for a team!

I agree with Danno. I wish more teams would draw a hard line with players. I'm glad Detroit did and I'm sure that's how most people feel.
