Remember the Saints win in OT in the '09 NFCC game?
I remember a lot of sports-reporters, most notably Peter King, wringing their hands like a bleeding-heart liberal, pi$$ing and moaning that it was wrong that the Vikings didn't get a chance with the ball.
The OT rule was changed before the 2010 season because of it. We all know with 100% certainty, tht if the Vikings had won the coin toss, and kicked the GW FG, there would have been 0 discussion about changing the OT rule. The Saints would have been a feel good story and that is where it would have ended. I can't wait to see what the league does about this and how fast! |
