NFL Voids Sean Paytonís Saints Contract. Should Vikings Hire Him In 2013?

What a revolting thought!

So letís say the Vikes play terrible the rest of the year and Zygi Wilf decides Frazier isnít the man for the job. He calls up Sean Payton. What does Sean Payton want? A whole poopload of money, for one thing. With Paytonís resume, he can pretty much name his price. Any team that hires him will likely have to make him the highest-paid coach in NFL history. But would he actually be worth it?

This brings us back to Dallas again. I donít doubt that Dallas would willingly pay him the kind of money weíre talking about. Jerry Jones has watched his team flounder the last couple years under Jason Garrett and by now he knows he needs to make a big splashy coaching hire. No hire would be splashier than Payton. Just the fact that Jerry would be out there throwing insane figures around would make life more difficult for a lower-revenue franchise like the Vikes. Could they even hope to compete in a bidding war with Jerry?

"Ever heard the saying, "Money talks and bull$hit walks"?

I am not saying that Payton isn't a man of his word, but he is suspended for the year WITHOUT pay, and I am fairly certain he didn't get a discount on his divorce, so if a team puts a big number with a dollar sign in front of it on the table, there is always the possibility of him leaving!

And with the way science and technology is advancing there is always a possibility of pigs flying too.

Payton has too much invested in this team and city to just pi$$ it away imo. If some team does offer him a Hugh sum of money you don't think Benson will match or best it? He has no problem paying good money for talent.

Still not worried, Sean Payton will be the Saints head coach next year.

Money doesn't mean jack squat when you heart and soul is into something.

I really don't think he'd even be a good fit for what Minnesota needs, so regardless of the fact that SP is going to be the HC of the Saints next year, he'd have better opportunities available to him than Minnesota.
