Brandon Jacobs 'rotting away' on San Francisco 49ers

Sounds like dissension in the ranks!!

It wasn't long ago when Brandon Jacobs at least tried to be a good soldier and deflected all questions about his playing time to San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh.

This week, Jacobs snapped at fans who criticized him for posting pictures on Instagram of when he played with the New York Giants.

"I am on this team rotting away so why would I wanna put any pics up of anything that say niners," Jacobs wrote on Instagram, according to Comcast SportsNet Bay Area. "This is by far the worst year I ever had, I'll tell you like I told plenty others."

Jacobs' displeasure has been bubbling just beneath the surface since he finally got healthy, after sustaining an knee injury during the preseason.

Same guy that said before a game vs us in 2009; this is the same old saints I've known since growing up, nothing different

I think he pulled this just to get released. Any player averaging over 4 per would be frustrated about not getting on the field.

I'm no Brandon Jacobs fan, but I think he's got enough left to be a contributor with an NFL team. Several teams could use a guy who can grind out the tough yards.
