Not really. The Falcons haven't faced much adversity at all this season, it's why they're 13-1 and on top of the NFC South. Adversity is having your head coach and other key members of the team suspended for the season. Overcoming adversity is still finishing 7-9, second in the division and handing the team that finished first in the division it's only loss.

It's not a matter of 'fighting through it' or 'bending over and taking it'. I'm sure the Falcons give it their all in the playoffs, they just get beat by better teams. They are not a team that controls their own destiny.

I see the Matty '2pts' quotes in your signature now & then and they explain to me, in part, why people naturally don't appreciate Matty '2pts'. First and foremost is his abysmal playoff record in a league where, at the end of the day, the only thing that matters is winning a SuperBowl. Second is the way he loses.

Last, but not least, is he's too 'hollywood' & goofy to be the inspirational leader he imagines himself to be. When I see some of his quotes, I honestly think he's envisions himself to be Shane Falco (Keanu Reeves) from the movie, 'The Replacements, 2000'. I betcha' if we could ever get inside his house/apt, that CD is somewhere. And it was a terrible movie, so you really can't say everyone has it.

Just calling it like I see it, and I'm not viewing it through red & black goggles, eh? Until he wins the big one, he's a choker & he's no 'Peyton Manning', that's for sure.

I call him all kinds of names without usually getting to "choker," I guess it's not profane enough!

Conspiracy theorists take note: the NFL made Seahawks at Falcons the EARLIEST playoff matchup of the weekend! So, the cross-country travel may hurt, but the Seahawks are playing tough football right now. The Foulcons will choke, Natty Ass will melt, and the Seahawks will proceed to the NFC Championship Game. Take it to the bank.

Not this season, I meant the last four years. No one likes getting their asses kicked in the playoffs every time they make it. We understand that we are total failures in the playoffs we win a game in the playoffs and we're more motivated than ever than ever to do win in the playoffs.

You can't be the quarterback of an NFL team and take a seat in the back. He might not be a someone like Ray Lewis, but I would not like it if he didn't say things like what he said in my signature.

The problem is Matty '2pts' doesn't have the resume to back up his 'inspirational leadership'. That comes with winning the tough games & in the playoffs. Did you happen to watch any of the DEN/BAL game? Flacco just passed Ryan on the scale of who you'd want to QB your NFL team. When Ryan can pull off a games like that, maybe then you can take him seriously as a leader. Until then, it's all just false motivation & cheerleading.

Re: Archie Manning: Don't call Falcons' Matt Ryan a 'choker'

I'm not gonna' congratulate Matty "1-win" on his first playoff victory, I'm gonna' put it in the proper perspective.

- Matty just joined an exclusive club of QBs with one playoff win. He's now right up there with former Atlanta great, Steve Bartkowski, who incidentally, also has a 1-3 playoff record. Matt Schaub (HOU), Erik Kramer (DET) and Matt Cassel (NE/KC), among many others, also have one playoff win. Pretty select company there, Matty.

- Russell Wilson still has a better playoff record than Ryan. 1-1 (.500) > 1-3 (.333)

- It took some last minute heroics by a field goal kicker in order for Matty to notch his first playoff victory. Who's got 'ice' in their veins now Matty?'.

I still think Archie got it wrong.

So Peyton Manning isn't good because of his under .500 playoff record?

Dan Marino was trash?

Ben Roethlisburger and Eli Manning are better than Drew Brees and Peyton Mannng?

That's what I got out of that post. If you believe that, then you should say yes to those questions according to your arguement.

That's why Flacco doesn't have more 4th quarter comebacks than Ryan.

Again, you can't be an NFL Quarterback and take a back seat.

Re: Archie Manning: Don't call Falcons' Matt Ryan a 'choker'

You're not seriously talking about Peyton Manning, Dan Marino, Ben Roethlisburger, Eli Manning & Drew Brees in the same post as Matty '1-win' and expect me to take you seriously, are you? . The elephant-in-the-room you may be missing is the SuperBowl ring(s).

And come up with something else than, "you can't be an NFL QB and take a back seat", you sound like a broken record. Actually, you sound like Matty '1-win' using the same old tired cliche's over and over and over. 4thQtr comebacks a team leader do not make.

Enjoy the kool-aid. I'm outta' here, Matty '1-win' is a boring topic. Let's hope your field goal kicker shows up next week, eh? .
