Not disagreeing with you but in 09 what was out turn over ratio?
I'm sure getting the ball back to Drew Asap helped

I agree for the most part except... If this had come at the start of the season I would feel differently.

It came at the end and in the playoffs.. Crybaugh knows that rookie mistakes are coming... better to have them in weeks 1-6 than -15-19.

The wise choice would have been Smith, Crybaugh went with the hot hand which was a gamble. In the end the gamble didn't win them a Super Bowl.

I may be in the minority but having seen Smith play for nearly two years, he has never shown me anything that would make me believe he couldn't have taken them just as far and won the SB.

You get my point... I was not giving Brees credit for the 2009 season... The entire offense gets that credit. I for one does not believe that a QB is the key to winning a SB.

So dont try and bandwagon flog me

I'd still rather have Brees than Flacco, Smith, or any other fool out there.
