They were robbed on that call.

Re: Jim Harbaugh Class less

It was pretty bad. Unfortunately not many refs are going to call it in the SB for the W. That's one thing that bothers me about the NFL, the level of officiating in the RS and playoffs. No consistency. Call the game like it should be called all the time. This "let them play" stuff is garbage.

Couldn't happen to a nicer man.
He tries his best to intimidate the officials every game and this time it didn't work.
How many dangerous hits do they get away with during the season, this time it didn't go there way.
Id be pissed if it was the Saints though

You'd think the guy could at least let his own BROTHER enjoy the win. Of course, we are talking about Jim Harbaugh.

I watched the game, and it looked like the best team won to me. If he wants to pick apart every single play, I guess he's got all off-season to do so ...

If you watched the game closely, there were a lot of questionable calls both ways.

They wouldn't have had the chance to be robbed if they had not had the same missed call swing their way against Atlanta.

Or if they call the pushoff durring that play..

The missed late hit personal foul where Flacco was hit 4 yards out of bounds would have changed things a bit if called also...

Dude is a punk. Truly. It's over man. Get over yourself and try not to be down 22 points next time. What an a'hole...

Amen to that.

Re: Jim Harbaugh Class less

I guess the lesson here is that if there were a bunch of questionable calls earlier in the game, go ahead and just tackle all of the WR's going out for a pass on the most important 4th down play in the game.

If that wasn't interference then Roman Harper should never have been called for PI in his entire career.

He's not being diplomatic about it but in his defense he needed some time to cool off. It was a critical missed call, probably cost them the game but as stated, they got some calls as well so it's a wash. And I was thinking the same thing SaintsFan, That's one call. How many mistakes did they make to fall behind that much.

Had he not burnt a time out needlessly he would have had another opportunity.. :-)

A good read...

Could be a fun drinking game when the 9ers play. Take a shot every time Jim Harbaugh throws a spaz fit on the sideline.

Jim H. epitomizes the name Forty-whiner. Was the call questionable, sure. But his play calling and his team's turnovers are the main reason he had something to ***** about.

Both Harbaughs are alike in that they look like cry-babies on the sidelines, whining about every little call. This is why I really hoped for the first Super Bowl in history where both teams lost.

I knew he was going to melt down at some point in the game ... just didn't think he'd wait until 1:50 left to do it,.

Typical Harbaugh (Jim), holidays must be hell for that family,.

If I was John I'd make sure I was wearing the ring at the next family dinner. It would be great.

Come on... Thats his brother.

You turn it crest to the palm and slap Jim on the back of the head with it.

I think the last play was a good no call. There was pushing and grabbing by both players but all everyone wants to see is the grabbing of the jersey by the DB. He wouldn't have grab the jersey if Crabtree wouldn't have pushed him off. Ball was uncatchable anyway.

AllSaints 02-05-2013 08:55 AM

Re: Jim Harbaugh Class less

that was a good no call Crabtree has jus as much pushin with his hand off his helmet as Smith had holdin the jersey....

Re: Jim Harbaugh Class less

This is where we get into the thing I often talk about with refs....there is a bottom line intangible element in football, where if the refs don't LIKE YOU, you will NOT get the questionable call when you need it.

The 49ers made their living all year on dangerous head-to-head hits, popping defenseless receivers, targeting specific players for injury, coaches' getting in officials' faces , plus there were numerous fights and scuffles throughout that Super Bowl game started mostly by the guys in the red jerseys. You do that often enough, and the refs will eventually reach a point where it's "talk to the hand." If you are a general PITA to the refs, all game long, or all season long, they WILL look the other way if you need a call in that type of clutch situation. Happens many times.

Jim just oughta' be happy the lights went out & gave him a chance to get back in the game. The Ravens had the momentum & if it wasn't for that, it was gonna' get real ugly for the Niners. Just sayin'.

It was every bit as much of pushing off as it was holding. Every fan gets mad if it isn't called for their guy, but from an outside perspective I thought it could have gone either way. No sense in acting like that play alone determined the game. Jim needs to put a sock in it.

That roughing the kicker call that allowed Akers a second chance? Total garbage. The defender comes rolling in slowly and Akers just flopped, like a typical kicker. It is what it is. I've never heard a team obsess over one play so much. At least not publicly.

For some strange reason, that post gave me flashbacks to the Haslett days...don't know why though.:brood:
