May seem a bit far-fetched, but SOMEBODY could take all the hate in NO as far as attempting to assassinate him. Some people are just that crazy.

I don't know; I feel like the whole thing got way out of hand.

The "Do Not Serve This Man" sign postings were done as publicity grabs for local restaurants looking to get their name out there. The vag float was in good fun. I don't think anyone was going to get violent with him.

He bought way too into the hype.

I have a friend who is a local musician, he played a segment at the NFL Honors show. He's a good guy, little out there and a HUGE Saints fan. Anyway, they were told they couldn't wear Saints gear to the venue, but he wore a Saints jersey under his sport coat, and made sure it was visible whenever Goodell was near. He said Goodell's security was eyeballing him like the Taliban at an airport!! They really did buy into the hype, and were legitimately concerned for his well-being. I think it's funny he was scared!

Secret Service agents were not guarding him. There were government officials like Panetta and Gov Christie in the box with him. I don't think that would look to good on the White House. We are essentially bankrupty but have money to guard figure heads of sports....Obama would never hear the end of it.

I liked it at least he wasn't that stupid if the city and fans was going along with speech Payton gave a week ago about being nice to a dat punk.

Surely not government secret service?! Is the NFL that tight with Obama? Doesn't seem right if taxpayers had to foot that bill.
