this is a discussion within the NFL Community Forum; I think if we make these corners stick not only Harper is gone, but Greer also..........

dont want this guy.....we will pay good money for a guy whos good years are behind him...has anyone watch him play the last 2 years...he is not versatile he has no awareness and gives up huge plays.....but i guess that fits the new orleans defense....lets pay him top dollar

Re: Nnamdi Asomugha

Simply cutting Roman Harper would allow us enough cap space to nab Nnamdi, grab a decent 3-4 end, add a reasonable backup QB, and select an adequate left tackle in the draft.

Am I wrong?

Schefter reporting that we couls see Keenan Lewis sign today.

@LarryHolder: RT @AdamSchefter: Next CB deal likely done is in New Orleans. Saints are close to deal with Steelers free-agent CB Keenan Lewis that could be done today

I somewhat agree, but have you seen the Eagles defense overall the past 2 years? Arguably, there was ZERO coaching going on there. Their defense was packed with talented players and played "limp wrist" football at best. Total slackers because they never really replaced their DC Jim Johnson after he died in 2009.

He's only 31... sometimes a new team brings the swagger back to players. Thoughts?

Re: Nnamdi Asomugha

Just a random thought but would people be against signing Nnamdi Asomugha and then somehow getting Tyrann Mathieau in the draft (not the first round)

Would love to see Tyrann drafted, but in later rounds. He would have a chance to prove himself in training camp. But using a higher draft pick isn't an option in my opinion. He has to prove he is NFL material AND that he can play football without smoking pot.

For some reason i think this has become a real possibility. I was watching a interview with him and he was talking about how he was on a plane sitting next to Rob Ryan and Ryan was joking around about how he was going to draft him and turn him into this amazing corner back. Although Tyrann said they were just joking around i honestly think there may have been some truth to what was said
And i personally think that Nnamdi and Greer would be a solid tandem and Tyrann becoming our slot corner would potentially give us a solid/deadly cornerback crew

Who Dat..... Drew Dat!!!! Man i love my SAINTS!!!

Re: Nnamdi Asomugha
