Faith Hill won't sing 'SNF' theme
 

The country star announced Monday morning on Twitter that she won't be doing the ''Sunday Night Football'' theme song this year.

She's been featured at the top of the broadcast for six years now.

Hill says in her tweet it's been an honor to appear on the NBC show, but that it's time to ''let someone else rock the open. Difficult decision. Kinda emotional.''

''Sunday Night Football'' executive producer Fred Gaudelli tweeted ''great love and appreciation'' to Hill for her participation over the years. He made no mention of what the show plans to do with the opening.

Bieber would be the 'last straw' for me & I would probably actively search out Mr. Goodell or at least send him a strongly worded letter, :mrgreen:.

Kid Rock would do a good job with it, IMO ... maybe clean him up a little bit, wash the hair/trim the scruff, but he'd be Ok.

Intro's are soooo 80's.

We don't need no stinking singing intro by someone 3/4 of the viewers don't like. Thats so power-rankin'ish.

Just play different bumper tunes weekly and play some damn football.

Oh no! Her singing that song was such an important part of the whole experience... not.

I'm glad they did away with the song to open the MNF game and they should probably do the same for SNF game.

What is wrong with you people!?

Hot women singing in skimpy clothing before a football game and ya'll want to do away with it?! They're going to fill up that time with something crappy anyways... might as well be a hot singing chick. I mean they could reserve those couple of minutes with that new locker room experience stuff. Bunch of naked men prancing around.
