The NO TEBOW zone

this is a discussion within the NFL Community Forum; We need no Tebow. He would make a perfectly acceptable back up qb for any team with a running qb. However, I think his particular brand of fandom must make him a tougher sell than he should be. Who wants ...

Tebow will stay in the NFL for one main reason.

That mans jersey sales is a good revenue stream for the league, arguably more than any other player.

I could care less if he ends up with the Saints. Its not like he is a bad guy and a bad influence on or off the field. However, with all the negative distractions of last season it might be a positive thing to have the spot light off the negatives and focused on Tebow. It would help everyone move on to something new and much less negative. Now whether or not he would make the team better is another discussion entirely.

There is no need to mention the wildcat, put him in the backfield and let him cause D-Coords fits by trying to figure out what he's doing. Run him down their throats when they're looking pass and spook them with the fake option. But for heaven's sake don't let him throw the ball unless it's overtime and NO ONE is expecting him to throw the ball.

There, fixed it for ya.

I think it would be interesting to see what he could do for the Saints. Drew Brees only has a few years left and Tebow, given time to develop his arm strength and throwing ability would be an acceptable candidate to replace him.

No. None of that will happen. He has been doing all of that for three years in the NFL and, "that dog ain't huntin".

I don't know why people hate this guy so much. Even if he just warmed the bench how is a guy who is arguably potentially a talented athlete, won't ask for much money, will bring nothing but a positive and highly motivated attitude to the team, and do it all without any support from 95% of NFL fans hurt us?
