How do you know that wasn't a mistake by the person who wrote the story? He's one of the top 5 greatest receivers of all time, and I know he could still be a contributor. I hate it ended this way for him. He couldn't understand people are lame and can't handle trash talk or show boating. I hope this doesn't keep him out the HOF.

Its not about trashtalking or showboating. Its about throwing your teammates, coaches, management, orphans and a nun under the bus.

I call it being honest and saying how you feel. Something I can appreciate, whether right or wrong.

Being honest and being smart isn't always the same thing. What T.O. unfortunately failed to see a lot of times is that he was part of the problem and not the solution. Its a shame because he was such a great player.

so he is better than Jerry Rice, michael Irvin, chris carter, tim brown, and Mega-tron?

Nah, carrying a Sharpie during a game and signing footballs in the endzone is showboating. The guy had talent and ability on the field, but lacked character & a filter off the field, IMO.

Hopefully, he doesn't sign with anyone so he can pursue a budding career in Reality Television,.

Hes better then Carter and Brown. Check the stats. He's statistically better then Irv Dog too, but the injury cut him short. I'd replace Moss with Megatron, or better yet take Tim Brown out all together.

Joe Horns cell phone antic was just the same. Lance Moore celebrates whether he scores or catches a 5 yard slant. Its just a game. We care more about athletes having good character than we do the politicians.

carter (who i f***ing hate) and brown never made the drops that T.O. has made in big games...I wouldn't want him on the saints in his prime much less now...I'd take Colston over T.O. any day and twice on sunday

There is a time in in the career of players like TO, Pacman, etc.. Where their talent and production on the field is overshadowed by the cloud of drama that follows them.

The times comes when even the most desperate of teams will not take on that burden because production has fallen off.

In the end even the revenue of jersey sales is not worth the drama.

They were never a part of a championship team either, so they all go in the same boat to me. His production more then made up for girls drops. Statistically he's only behind Rice and Moss. Don't let the media's demonizing campaign take away what he brought to the game. And Colston drops plenty of passes. We all know that. He too, makes up for it.

If he wasn't such a prima donna, he along with Chad Johnson could still contribute for someone. He had his fair share with the dropsies, but he was such a dominant receiver.

Oh well.

Lance Moore celebrates to get the juices flowing and get the crowd to make some noise, T.O would scream at the QB if he didnt get the ball and when he did his hands were lousy

T.O was the issue with all the teams he's been on, you'd have thought he would have noticed it but he never did

I have been away all week, knee deep in Viking territory and void of any real NFL news.

Did he pull the plug or do we need to call doctor Kevorkian?

(I know Dr. Kevorkian passed.)

Call Kevorkian, he hung himself years ago.

Poor Jack ... he meant well ... and he died in the hospital, not by his own hand (as he probably would have preferred to go) ... <sigh>.
