I somehwat disagree. How much experince did Jimmy Graham have or Tony Gonzales? They were all basketball players right?

The guy is a solid football player. Given a chance which he'll get a fair one I think he could excell.

There is quite a bit of difference between Graham/Gonzo and Tebow.

Gonzo - 6'5" 250 lbs 4.4 speed 38" vert 35in arm length
AND Played TE under Marriucci for the Golden Bears. He was all PAC-10 and All American at TE.

Graham - 6'7" 265 lbs 4.5 speed 38 1/2 vert 35 in arms

Both players have either extraordinary talents or attributes.

Tim Tebow - 6'3" 236 lbs 4.7 speed 38 1/2 Vert 31 3/4 arms

They all have the same vert but Tebow misses 3" in height and 4" in arm length.. Stand them all together flat footed and throw a ball over their heads and Tim doesn't even tip the balls Gonzo/Graham catch.

I get you love to copy and paste stats however my point was experince at the position imo not being a factor IF they decided to put him there.

No copy and paste.

Did you bother to read Gonzo's previous experience at TE?

But hey your right.... I'm sure he will make a wonderful TE. :-/

I don't know if NE will put him at TE.
I don't even know if he'll make the team. Unlike some people I'm don't pretend to know everthing about football and whats going on in Bill Belichicks mind.
I would imagine they'll try him at QB "like I heard on the radio" then move on from there.

Unlike Graham at TE, Tebow is a known at QB.

PS- there is a difference between attributes and stats. I gave attributes .

Re: Patriots sign Tim Tebow

Coach Bill Belichick declined Tuesday to comment on what position Tim Tebow will play.

As expected, Belichick revealed no information and gave no insight into the Tebow signing. "What position? We're going to do what's best for the football team," Belichick said. He cut the press conference off on his own after getting fed up with too many Tebow questions. "Tim's a talented player that's smart and works hard. We'll see how it goes." ESPN is reporting that Tebow was signed to play quarterback. CBS' Mike Freeman says he'll be used elsewhere in addition to under center. There are 2014 playing time incentives in Tebow's non-guaranteed contract that are not limited to quarterback snaps.

And the media circus begins.

Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.

All little common sense goes a long way.
