49ers fans whine about noise

Don’t think that 49ers fans are going to just let their 29-3 whooping at the hands of the Seahawks go by without retribution. After all, this is the Bay Area! The epicenter of protest! Something unfair must have gone down on Sunday night and Judy Spellman and Rich Schiller plan to do something about it.

Without further ado, we present a letter to the editor that appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle:

Was anyone else appalled by the unsportsmanlike conduct of the Seattle Seahawks and their fans, juiced on noise, which surely creates as big an advantage over an opponent as any performance enhancing drug and which, to their shame, NFL officials turn the same blind eye they have to concussions and drugs?

It would be simple to fix. Seahawks players and managers would ask their fans to cease and desist, and the NFL would implement a new rule: The visiting team may stop the game when fan noise is greater than a specified decibel level, and should this rule be violated in more than three games, no home games will be played at the offending field for the rest of the season, including playoff games. Things would quiet down.

At a time when the world seems sour, sports give us a place of joy, community and hope, and to have it spoiled is a bigger loss than it seems on the surface.

That deserves a backhand just to see the spittle fly and the pure shock in his eyes...... As I educate him on the depth to which my senses were violated by his *****y whining.

Saintfan, if you read this get out of dodge. Il personally taking my shovel across country and that turd called California will be adrift soon.

There's something to be said, though, of a stadium that's engineered to amplify noise and pipe it onto the field. No different than plain old loud speakers.

Wow, it takes a lot of chutzpa to put something that stupid into writing,. Equating crowd-noise to concussions & PED's? I just don't see it ....

I didn't know they did that, is that the case in Seattle? If it is, it certainly raises the bar on the whole "12th-man" scenario, :).

The Viqueens stadium does that still, even though they got caught a while back.

I gotta' admit, that's pretty ingenious applying the "winning games with technology" angle and going to those lengths,.

Aw, come on. I think they might be a couple of Seahawks fans trolling the 49ers fans, with a funny fake letter to the paper. I've had a letter printed in the TP, about Joe Horn before. It's not like the paper called me up and made sure I was really a true Saints fan.

So the new "Eastern Span" of the Bay Bridge - build with 10 billion dollars worth of steal from China I might add - just went up.

It comes complete with a bike lane. LOL

But the protesters are using the new bike lanes on the bridge as a place to set up their protests. Of course the uppity bicycle riders are all up in arms about it.

LMAO

If there's another equally screwed up place on this earth that doesn't qualify as "third world" I'd be shocked.

It's California. If the whole state sunk into the ocean the U.S. would be like 33% less crazy and we'd never have to hear about Lindsay Lohan, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus or the Kardashians ever again.

I have relatives there, and they are good people, but I'd be willing to make the sacrifice to see this happen.
