That's f--king ridiculous. I can't afford to go to games. The NFL has priced me right out.

My tickets aren't expensive, its all the extra stuff and the 5 hour drive that eats up all of my costs

Re: Most Expensive Tix in the NFL

How can they even attempt to justify the cost.
Soccer in the UK are the most expensive tickeys of sll the European leagues and still cost between $50-80 a game and that with alot of players earning anything from $75-300, 000 per week (even in the offseason).Twenty years ago before all seater ganes you could standbon the Spion Kop stand for Liverpool games for £7-10 ($10-15).
No wonder sport is loosing it heart and soul, push the real fans out for the corporates.

So for four tickets to see my guys play, I could buy a brand new 60" plasma. Yeah, I'll go with the plasma.

Agreed.... And paying $10 for a beer... Sad really.

I'd like to see where these prices come from. I don't believe the average for a game is over $200. I think they are using NFL Ticket Exchange for their source at which point it is skewed because people can charge what they want. The face value of a ticket, on average is absolutely not the price being shown in the report.

This is the simple law of supply and demand.... Businesses will charge what they can get, and people will pay it. As unpopular as my next statement is it is fact.

There is no "right" to affordable anything.

The more successful the team the higher the prices go. Another Saint Superbowl and we may all be watching from home. I went to the Jacksonville/Saints game last year and paid about $35/ticket.

Re: Most Expensive Tix in the NFL

So if the quoted price in the OP is too high, and people are saying they paid 30-90 a ticket... Why are people complaining the tickets are too expensive to go?

Re: Most Expensive Tix in the NFL

Wish I could remember what the actual price on the ticket in Jacksonville was. What is says and what the ticket holder can actually get varies greatly depending on the team, lol.

Re: Most Expensive Tix in the NFL

I think they went with a average of price. I was gonna go to the Cowboys/Saints Thanksgiving game & the cheapest ticket was $109 up top & $1300 for the ones close to the Cowboys sideline & $400 close to the vistors. Needless to say I watched on tv.

The tickets are originally sold at face value, subsequent sales like ticket exchange are defendant on what the private seller is asking.

Re: Most Expensive Tix in the NFL

^^^ What he said. The upper-decks being an exception, it's rare to score tickets at face value.

As for the list, remember it's an average ticket price. So everything from the cheapest nosebleed bench to the most expensive luxury box is factored into the figure.
