Braves is a little different than skin tone.
Personally, if there was a team that represented my skin color that chose that name because of a history of strength, courage and toughness, I'd not only be fine with it, I'd be proud of it.

Everybody wants to be offended. Everybody wants to feel persecuted. Everybody wants to shame others for their beliefs. Everybody wants to force others to believe as they do because if they don't, they are racist or narrow-minded.
The PC movement is offensive to me but that makes me narrow-minded.

Anyway, say that they change the name to Bravehearts. Can't you reasonably assume that some Scottish people would be offended that an NFL team in the USA would be using their biggest hero as their mascot?

This whole thing is silly.

I hear the vast majority of Redskins are offended by the name Washington.

Re: Washington Braveheats??

Its purely subjective garbage...

Some people are offended by "Rajun Cajun". Should UL have to go back to the BullDog?

To see Saints fans agreeing is actually laughable. You do realize 'Saint' is a christian term. Where is the atheist outrage?

So as I understand it "Red Skin" is bad but "Red Men" is good?

Redmen

Bedford Road Collegiate Redmen (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan)
Cedar High School Redmen (Cedar City, Utah)
Killingly High School Redmen (Killingly, CT)
Parma Senior High School Redmen (Parma, Ohio)
Rock Hill High School (Ironton, Ohio)
Smith Center High School Redmen, (Smith Center, Kansas)
Tewksbury Memorial High School Redmen (Tewksbury, Massachusetts)
Woonsocket High School Redmen (Woonsocket, South Dakota)
Marquette Senior High School Redmen (Marquette, Michigan)

Why go after only the NFL?

Wellpinit Redskins (Wellpinit, WA) The Redskins
Student Body (57.7 percent Native American)
Wellpinit High School (WA) Football Home - MaxPreps.com

As a christian, should I be offended that an NFL team is minimizing what the christian saints have accomplished for their faith? We're talking true persecution and martyrs dying for their passion.

Stop the madness!
