Are the Panthers The New Cowboys?

Have they become America's team? Radio, television and online goes something like:

The Panthers win, the Panthers stadium, the Panthers defense, the Panthers amazing QB, MVP Panthers, Panthers winning the division, Panthers rise up, Panthers amazing uniforms, Panthers Steve Smith, Panthers great running game, Panthers girlfriends, Panthers parents are the best, Panthers amazing fans, Panthers matching underwear, we love the Panthers, Panthers can save our country, Panthers heck can save our planet, no Panthers can save our world, long live the Panthers.

I hope so, and I hope they have the same success.

Nah, they're promoting Cam pretty heavily, but that's as far as it goes ... I haven't really thought of the Cowgirls as "America's Team" since Landry's days as H/C ... there's an argument for thinking about them as that during the Jimmy Johnson era and maybe Barry Switzer's tenure, but the title's been vacant since then, IMO.

Cowboys fans are everywhere. That's why they are America's Team. Has nothing to do with if they're good or not. The deserve the title.

I used to run into Cowboy's fans all the time when I was a kid. Not so much anymore.

The Panthers though, they are going to go down in heavily hyped flames eventually. We just got to sit it out so, in that respect, yes they are like the Cowboys.

Yeah, because no other NFL team could possibly have any fans outside of their region,. You may not be old enough to remember, but before cable & the internet, Dallas games were broadcast ad nauseum ... so much so that it was said America would recognize Tom Landry, Roger Staubach, Tony Dorsett, Jethro Pugh and the other Cowboy players before they would a Hollywood movie star or even the POTUS. You can be Dallas' Team and suck, but you can't be "America's Team" and suck, that's just the way it is.

Are you sure you been around football, bro-ham? Some of your posts lately got me wondering, http://i492.photobucket.com/albums/r...s_confused.gif

All it takes is two Saints victories and the Panther mysticque will fade
Can't wait

Funny if any receiver ( not just the one thrown to) is held a flag is thrown
Gronk in the endzone, please
Just like Talib draped on Graham all game

The league has it in the tank on that game
They have a big stake in our not being successful in our post penalized season
