What makes me a little afraid of things right now.

this is a discussion within the NFL Community Forum; That is I am afraid and seeing some similarities that the NFL is trying to manufacture another Dynasty in the NFL like the one we saw with the Patriots. That dynasty is the Seahawks. note the word MANUFACTURE in all ...

That dynasty is the Seahawks.

note the word MANUFACTURE in all of this.

If they wasnt trying to manufacture this, Seattle would of been long gone out of the playoffs.

Thats my 2 cents, and I am sticking to it.

Back in 2001 saints played Giants first game back in new york after 9-11 an it was clear the refs were no way going to let the saints win the game.could it be saints were not suppose to win against vikings an not allow Favre his swansong superbowl.could this be real reason saints in old rogers dog house.Even worse they keep payton from his 2nd superbowl ring.could be why denver the AFC team this year could there be more than one shooter of JFK in 63,JUS old nutttyyyy me.

I dunno, but I cant help but believe some how or another that the Patriots are in the same boat we are.

We can certainly see a fight going down in the NFL, and it some how has to do with the NFL itself, both Saints and Patriots were punished, neither one has won a SB since, both Patriot SB berths since spygate has resulted............in losses to the team you mentioned......The Giants.

My thinking is the Patriots started doing something the NFL didnt want and couldnt stop, much like our 2009 season. I think the NFL has tried to hand Manning more than 1 Lombardi, which is what makes this Super Bowl interesting.

Interested in seeing which side the referees are going to be on, its kind of sad its to this point where instead of talking about the 2 teams in the SB, its about the referees and who they going to let win.

One of the biggest battles that has taken place for years for whatever reason is Broncos vs Patriots.

Some how or another back in the day the Broncos would get an upper hand on NE and do it quite often. Then comes in Josh McDaniels as Headcoach and he tears the roster apart and trades away every good player their is, exits, goes back to NE. Then few years later, Peyton Manning comes in.

Seems a little suspicious, just cant exactly put my finger on what is going on there.

Damn, I hate this...I opened my eyes and I did not like what I saw in the NFC Championship.

I had no skin in the game and I purely hate both teams.
I watched it because I love FOOTBALL.

I laughed at the theories. Now I can say that I, being of sound NFL judgment, something is rotten in the state of the National Football League.

Ive always thought something was rotten in the NFL since 2001. But this year in particular they made it more obvious that something is up.

I dont think I have ever seen a season in where they have literally carried 1 team to a SB as this season.

With Goodell at the wheels, the NFL has become a Professional Drama Circus.

Re: What makes me a little afraid of things right now.

I can't see Seattle forming a dynasty, for one they had an easy road schedule which is why they even got to the sb. SF is a better team on the road than Seattle is. SF went into TB and dominated them where Seattle struggled at home. I don't think Seattle gets by the teams SF did. Either way, this is why the saints need to go out and get the talent we need instead of hoping upon hope its our year. Sometimes you have to make it your year hope or not. Granted there isnt any other team in the NFC other than us that is unstoppable at home.

And Seattle's defense didnt really come on until the second half, they didnt do well against New England, Detroit, Minnesota, Miami on the defensive side. Their defense came about this past season. I just don't see them having HFA year after year.

It's beyond blatant Roger is the worst thing to ever happen to the NFL. The Pro Bowl format is a travesty to the game. It was a real game back in the day but it will never return to that glory. It's over. He refuses to accept that fact. I could go on a while but to consider certain teams are hand picked by him to progress is certainly on the table. He meddles with everything so what's really stopping him.

Yep.

The Basketball fans, the ones who are Basketball fans and put any other sport 2nd or 3rd on their list have seen and witnessed all to often over the same span of time that their sport is rigged as well, its gotten more exposure due to the Dougnahy (spelling?) incident.

I believe Football fans (unless its Seattle fans which are the worse and believe nothing is wrong anyway), are beginning to take notice of things happening in this league similar to how they started taking notice of the situations in the NBA. I am not a Basketball fan but what few games I watched (very limited) in the last 5 years which were key games BTW, most certainly had the officiating favoring 1 side, it certainly is there for teams like the Heat and Spurs, its been there for the Spurs for a decade it seems.

Re: What makes me a little afraid of things right now.

I can't stand all the Manning Love, I live in Indy and they still "Love Peyton". I am sick to death of all the "Greatest Ever" talk. I want him to win the SB, get his 2nd ring and be anointed as the "Greatest Ever In Forever". Why? So we can PROUDLY say "In 2009 WE beat the "Greatest Ever...."
