Atlanta Falcons looking at Jonathan Vilma?

failclowns are welcome to him.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday on NFL Total Access that the Falcons are taking a hard look at former New Orleans Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma as a potential replacement for Weatherspoon, via sources close to the Falcons situation.

Vilma, 32, remains a free agent after the Saints opted not to re-sign the 10-year veteran following a successful and, at times, controversial six-year stay in NOLA. If Vilma’s primary medicals check out, the Falcons plan to bring the three-time Pro Bowler in for a visit.

His best days are behind him, but I wouldn't be mad.

I'd hate to see Vilma in those rags they call jerseys, but it would make playing them an even easier win. Love ya Vilma but you're done... So please go be a starter for the Failclowns!

They must have a really serious problem....I wish him all the best, but 32 year old Jonathan Vilma is only one step better an option than picking up a player in the parking lot at Home Depot, or grabbing a security guy from in the stands and putting a helmet and uniform on him.

C'mon man, that's ridiculous.

Vilma is done; the knee injuries have severely diminished his speed and mobility. Even the Cowboys passed on him after Sean Lee went down, just shows how bad of shape the Falcons are in if they sign him...

Good luck to JV...
I'm still like "**** Atlanta" though

The Falcons did take a look at Jonathan Vilma, but they must not have liked what they saw.

According to Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports, the Falcons won’t be signing the veteran linebacker after his workout, at least not yet

Idk how I feel about this. I would prefer no, but while he may not be as good he was our leader and I'm betting thats what Atlanta wants him for, motivation to try to beat us.

Hey, where is your Saints spirit?

Yes, Vilma's peak years are over. I do not like the "expressions" here though.

He was a good N.O. Saint, a good guy, and did a lot like, oh I do not know...exciting games...helping be a team player , team leader, went too far in listening to his boss (Coach's SP and GW), and umm, some big game the Saints played in and Vilma was a huge part in getting the team there to the umm, SUPERBOWL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I get that he wants a cash grab on his way out.
I get he would like to be out there once last time.

I agree with Mr. Raiton. Any team BUT the Falcons and good since they did not sign him. I wish him well .
End his career on a higher note . Maybe just end it.

Someone told him on twitter to not sign with Atlanta because he would be heartbroken and JV said it would be a stretch if he did.

I feel ya man, I loved JV when here and nothing but respect for the good years he gave us, but I wish they had signed him and started him week 1.
