The league is getting more and more ridiculous

Colin Kaepernick did a commercial for Beats by Dre -- headphone maker extraodinaire -- where he was shown blocking out the sound of what looks like screaming Seahawks fans.

Well, the San Francisco 49ers quarterback has been hit with a penalty for wearing those headphones. Kaepernick said on Thursday that he was fined $10K by NFL for wearing the Beats by Dre product. But why?

Simple, the NFL made a deal with Bose to be the official headphones of the league. And as a result, the league passed a mandate that NFL players can only be seen wearing Bose headphones when there's a potential of being seen by cameras or fans. Kaepernick, of course, didn't take it seriously or didn't hear about it.

He went strolling into Levi's Stadium last Sunday wearing his headphones and someone must have seen him. Hence, the fine. Let that be a lesson, Colin? A silly lesson, but a lesson nonetheless.

Kaepernick: But it's against the rules. They'll fine $10,000!

Dre: Ahh Hemmm.... We'll give you $100,000 if you wear our headphones to your post game interview.

Kaepernick: But I'll get in trouble. I'm only supposed to wear Bose.

Dre: Hey dumb-ass, we'll give you $100,000 if you wear our headphones to your post game interview.

Kaepernick: Ohhhhh....OK....Gotcha. Wink Wink.

Do they still make players wear ties on the team bus? Is there still a team bus? :lol:. All this endorsement stuff gets out of hand ... I suppose if the Bose product was better, the players would probably gravitate towards it, eh? Somebody's infringing on something here ... I just can't quite put my finger on it, :lol:.

Bose audio equipment sucks
Anyone who is an audiophile knows there is much better stuff at the same price

Bose has the greatest advertising campaign is history
People hear the equipment and fall for it
Because they have never heard good sound

Paying the nfl to perpetuate this crap is ridiculous
So force the coaches to wear the damn things
Fining players is even worse
What they do on the practice field or before the game is their business

As it is with any manufacturer, some of the product line sucks, while others shine. The same is true with what CK was caught with.

My Bose BT earpiece is the best one in the market, by far. Beats are a bit gimmicky but are good and way overly priced. There used to be some kick-arse headphones at Radio Shack that cost like $40. They are no longer there. Senheiser is also real good. Beats is guilty of good marketing too. :biggun:
