Mike Smith: We have to look at everything to get ship righted
Last week, Falcons owner Arthur Blank said that he was screaming on the inside after two straight double-digit losses but said that he wasn’t going to discuss any possible changes involving coach Mike Smith or General Manager Thomas Dimitroff until after the season.

The Falcons lost by double digits again on Sunday, falling to the Bears 27-13 at the Georgia Dome to lower their record to 2-4 on the season. There were no audible screams from Blank as the game came to a close, but Smith seems to know that things have to change quickly if he wants to assure himself another season on Atlanta’s sidelines. Smith said after the game that the team has to “look at everything” to fix a team that’s gone off the rails the last three weeks.

The Chicago win was just a nice little bright spot for a dull bye week Sunday. And damn that Cincy kicker could have been the daily double!

Yep, Matty "Tailspin" sounds like a new moniker to me, ... them guys looked so bad vs Chicago yesterday, I had to switch my preseason picks to giving them a definite loss vs the Lions in London, .

Re: FailClowns in a tailspin?

I can see them realistically losing the next two (Lions, Ravens), than they get the Bucs...

@ Ravens, Lions(London), @ Buccaneers, @ Panthers, the next four... See them losing three of those, only possible win is the Bucs...

Problem is it's all in vain if we don't win our games. With their losses we are given a second chance. Starts in Detroit.

I wouldn't say it's in vain. When the Saints are out of it, I root for my next favorite team

and my next favorite team is anybody playing the falcons.

Calvin Johnson & Reggie Bush are both banged up. It is possible that both may not be 100% this weekend.

I don't imagine the Lions will travel well to London and honestly anticipated them losing that one to ATL, but after watching Sunday's performance vs the Bears, ...

In all probability, they won't be 100%, but they better be on the field vs the Saints if the Lions want to win this one, IMO. In the battles of Saints O vs Lions D and Saints D vs Lions O, the Lions O comes up short without Calvin/Reggie and they lose this one at home.

It ain't "Turnover" Teddy Bridgewater back there slinging the pigskin for the Saints ... just sayin'. Everyone knew Wk #7 was gonna' be the first real test of the Lions new coaching staff, schemes, et ... .
