Texans parting ways with Andre Johnson

Texans star Andre Johnson asks to be traded or cut - Ultimate Texans

WOW thought he'd retire a Texan. If the Saints weren't so close to the cap I'd be all for bringing him in maybe Loomis can pull this off

About $10.5 million, not sure who would even pay that for a 33 yr old WR. That's a lot of coin, maybe if the contract is loaded with hitting earmarks.

Jacksonville or Oakland will pick him up

A true Pro. He has been an ELITE WR on some bad Houston team for many years. I'm sure he will get one last call to play another season somewhere.

Best of luck to Andre.

Would be a smart move for either team. Give their Young QBs a good target. I still Think he'd rather sign with a contender for less money.

I'd take AJ in a heartbeat.

The Seahawks,New England and possibly the 49ers wouldn't surprise me

Andre Johnson is a HOF wideout with crappy QB's.

Imagine what he could do WITH Brees and FOR our young WR's...

Not to mention the leadership he brings.

It's worth a one year contract IMO

Won't happen but it would be cool

All depends on Johnson. Does he want one last payday and to be the guy or a shot at a championship

Re: Texans parting ways with Andre Johnson

Well, he's asking to leave Houston so we know he wants a championship.

Andre Johnson is a high character guy so my guess is he'll accept his value for a chance to make a two year run.

If Brees doesn't have good protection, AJ will be a waste of cap money. Go back and watch the Pittsburgh game when Brees was well protected.

Honestly, I'm not sure he is a much better WR than Jimmy Graham at this point. Sure he'd look great in Black and Gold, but we have other much greater needs. Our WRs are OK, while our LBs and DBs are awful and our O-line is not much better.
