Arthur Blank, who purchased the Atlanta Falcons in 2002, revealed Tuesday that he has been diagnosed with cancer.

"In December I was diagnosed with a treatable form of prostate cancer," Blank said in a statement released by the team. "Over the last several weeks Angie and I have visited a number of expert doctors and hospitals across the country to identify the best treatment options for me. I have chosen an aggressive approach that will include surgery and the overall prognosis is good. I'm looking forward to getting this behind me and continuing a very active lifestyle, my upcoming wedding, as well as continued active involvement in our businesses and philanthropic efforts for years to come."

I hope he has a speedy recovery. Mr Blank is pretty much the only thing I like about the Falcons.

I'd just like to add, kudos to Blank for not going "Robert Kraft" in his choice of dame.

I know we all enjoy hating on the Falcons, but Arthur Blank is a class A dude.

I've always kinda resented the hate thrown his way. I wish all NFL owners were more like Blank.

Cancer sucks.
Men like Arthur Blank can take an ugly stick and beat the bastard back.
Men like Arthur Blank can take the same ugly stick and change the lives of others unable to access the vast resources he had available to beat the bastard.
Men like Arthur Blank can take that ugly stick and do amazing things to change lives.
That is what men like Arthur Blank can do....he will beat it and then help others without his resources to beat it too!
