Jared Allen rides off into the sunset ... and hopefully off a cliff!

Ok, this is the official "Jared Allen Retirement Bash Thread" ... this is the guy who hated playing in New Orleans (and Detroit) because of the way they smelled, or something like that ... f'ng jerk, just retire already, don't let the door hit ya' in the ass cowboy, et ...,.

He found out what it is like to be close to a Super Bowl and not make it because of the Saints and now he has completed the cycle with the kittens!

All I'm going to say is that the NFL lost a great colorful character, who followed the rules, never hurt his team and did lots of good in the community.

I hope he retires in the purple.

Yeah, we certainly love our colorful characters, ... what did he do so much in the community? I'm curious, never really heard of him doing much, #shrug. Yeah, he probably visited a school or something and did the Play 60 commercial with the rest of the guys, but did he really do that much? He shoulda' retired a Viking though, agreed. This is what I'll always remember the big, colorful lug for:

Stay Classy, Jared!

I don't know, I couldn't do it. If I had to live in Detroit, I think I'd just drown myself in the river that was across the way. I'm not trying to be mean, but it's just depressing when I go there.

On New Orleans:

There's two cities, like, I don't go out to eat or don't do anything. It's Detroit and New Orleans. New Orleans looks like I'm driving through a third-world country every time I get off the plane. I'm like, 'Oh, flak jacket.' I'm trying to get down. I'm like, 'Ah, crap, I can't carry my gun here. This sucks.'

Our mission is to provide financial assistance and support to our injured United States military veterans by building and remodeling handicap accessible homes to suit their individual needs one wounded warrior at a time.

Naturally, what he said about Detroit and New Orleans wasn't called for even if he really feels that way, but in general most of his verbal pokes were in jest.

Totally give him credit for that, Wounded Warriors is an outstanding organization.

Oh, glad to hear he actually did something worthwhile instead of giving it lip service like so many of these other guys. I hope the Veterans living in Detroit and New Orleans he insulted can see fit to forgive him now, :).
