Cousins is not going to the Browns. He wants to win. Going there is a death sentence.

Re: Alex Smith a Redskin.

Once he got going with the 49ers, they went from near the bottom to being perpetually in the playoff conversation, top of their division, and made the playoffs and Super Bowl (he won the games that got them there). Then when he was with the Chiefs, they were always contenders, in the hunt and near the top of their division, nearly every year with the team. In a division with the Eagles and Dak, and a declining (or gone) Eli Manning, this signing makes perfect sense. Sure the Redskins will probably find a way to screw this up, but Smith knows how to win games. He certainly showed us that at Candlestick in 2012! I'm interested to see what he does.

Cousins had no weapons. So many dropped passes this season. Pryor lead the league in defending passes; to himself! Then the rest of them same thing, Crowder fumbling, dropping easy dumps. I feel bad for Cousins. He is actually a fine QB. I would love to have him but I know it will not happen. Strong arm, accurate and at least another 8 years or so.

Washington is a mess, as long as Danny owns the team they always will be.
There is a weird Sonny Jurgensen QB approval thing going on there and Cousins is just another victim.

Re: Alex Smith a Redskin.

I read the Skins could consider "tagging" Cousins a third time. That would give Kirk a 44% raise from his 2016 salary under terms of tag 2.

WTH is Snyder doing up there?

they would be on the hook for 34.5 mill, AND Cousins would have to sign it before he got traded

they couldn't possibly be that dumb
