What's Going On With Kickers?

Why are they missing so much this year? Some kickers that were gold last year are shanking kicks almost every game, even extra points. Did something change? It's like they put ball bearings in the ball and didn't tell anyone to make games more interesting.

I believe it is somewhat mental. Those longer PAT's (point after attempts) are getting into a lot of kickers heads.
