Am I welcomed here?
 

I have a tendency to have my OWN opinion, but i do so in non-abrasive ways. I don't stroke moderator's egos, nor administrators, because i too run websites and don't see anything special about it. But my quesion is, Will i get banned here too?

Just wanted to know before i posted. Seems certain "other" Saints MB feature nazi-esque moderators who don't "tolerate" differing viewpoints or members who don't contribute financially.

Oh, and i'm a huge, lifelong Saints fan.. Dunno if that matters or not :lol:

So, if my posts won't be tolerated here and will only seem to make the moderators and admins lives miserable with my presence, just let me know in advance so there's no hard feelings, k?

I don't think he's talking about anyone being disrespectful. What I think he means is that ALL viewpoints are allowed -- you don't have to come from one side of the fence or the other to participate -- and you don't have to feed the "HMFIC" cash to level the playing field. I've been down that road too. In other words, donations are appreciated but not required.

First let me defend the moderators over at that other board (Bulldawg and UncleTrvlingJim rule). They are very well-run, knowledgable and mostly fair. That said, many of the members there can be intolerant, especially with regards to politics. I have over 5000 posts there and have no desire to stay over there. The real problem there is that they have a hidden Asylum board where certain members get together to bash other members. They basically form bonds of friendship based on hate. Its weird because I get along wth a lot of the guys, but it is impossible for many to get past the clique. Plus, when you are getting badmouthed (and anything goes in there) in the back, it is hard to be taken seriously on the main board. So I dont think the board has a problem with the moderators, most of whom I hold the utmost respect for, but certain members. Its a shame that a select few (and it really is very few) can affect the boad to such an extent, but it is simply reality.

That said, I dont really want to partake over there anymore; and I have definitely been a lurker here in the past, and I am happier than ever to be here. I am hoping to learn a lot from people over here:) and am excited to finally get started posting!

it's real easy, you follow these simple rules, and you'll get along just fine.

1. respect others opinions regarding the saints. nobody is always right, no matter how much saintswhodi believes he is :D
2. respect the moderators and what they are trying to do here. not asking you to kiss their ass or mine, they are good peeps, and are fair in their assessments. there are those that would disagree with that, as it relates to me, but they are usually castaways that have been banned from others sites for starting problems. this does not include those that were banned from other sites over voicing their opinion (which i'm still baffled by some of the stories i read).
3. keep naughty language in the smack talk forum or edited. no name calling.
4. don't f#%& with papz....I have 15 stitches from the last time i did :P

we have a very relaxed atmosphere. join in and have some fun.

Wow. I must be the most popular dude on Saints forums. I get mentioned in threads that have nothing to do with me a whole lot. Cool. 8)

Don't disrespect other members and follow the rules as we all try to do and everything will be fine, everyone has their own opinions here, what makes for good talk.
