Been There and Done That.
We went just before Memorial Day and beat the crowds.
Did you go yet? When was the last time you went?

The Harry Potter Ride is a 10!
It's incredible what they can do with rides now day. The visuals were insane. While it is certainly a great ride, it's one of those motion rides that tend to make people queasley(pun intended). We rode a couple of times and it made me sick the first time.

RECOMMENDED... We rode it again after I took some Dramamine and I was fine. Isles of Adventure inserted Harry Potter Land over an existing piece of the park and inserted the ride. It's not a whole new area, but still done 1st rate. This is a picture of the new castle and the ride is contained inside the castle. The Fire and Ice castle still exists and is part of Wizarding World Harry Potter.

There are some videoes of the actual ride on YouTube but they don't do it justice. Skip it.

One thing that sucks is what they did to the Castle on Fire and Ice. They tried to incorporate it into the Harry Potter theme. What sucks is they put black plaster over all of the skulls and bones that make the walk to the ride super cool. Who came up with that idea should be shot on site. Maybe they had too many complaints. It was pretty scary.

If you'd been to Universal before, I'd say it's hardly worth going there for Harry Potter Land, but over at the Universal park the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit is a new supercoaster. It is fantastic. I'd give it a 10. It's a fast ride with large sweeping turns and hills. It's nothing like the Hulk or Fire & Ice.

The ride starts off by going straight up and really pumps you up. You get to listen to music while you ride and can actually pick the song you want to hear from a play list. Nobody else can hear the song you select and it makes talking to the person next to you impossible. We rode it 7 times and the default song is still my favorite song, Bring Me to Life by Evanescence. It makes the ride seem like an acid trip gone wrong. The ride in the front seat was incredible. Give it a 10!!! This is what it actually looks like and sounds like. Notice at the top of the 1st loop that the car does a 360 around the whole track.

I've never seen a ride do that before.
