Say what you will about the Saw series: the violence is over the top, the plot lines are convoluted, the acting is bad, etc. Some of that might be accurate, and it's true that perhaps some installments of the critically reviled horror franchise could have been eliminated from the series' seven-part oeuvre. But for horror fans, the movies that follow "Jigsaw" ? a serial killer who engineers complex torture devices to test victims' will to live ? are genuinely unique and, for a lack of a better word, fun.?
