Longtime T-P society columnist Nell Nolan moves to The Advocate

Nell Nolan, who chronicled New Orleans? social scene and kept scrupulous track of the movements of the city's debutantes for The Times-Picayune, will be ?retiring? her column after 34 years, according to the paper. Unmentioned in the story: Nolan will be taking her alliterative brand of party coverage to the paper?s competition, The Advocate ? following in the heels of longtime former T-P party photographer Steven Forster.
