The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival announced a Feb. 6, 2014 concert at the Civic Theatre featuring drummer Jack DeJohnette, bassist Esperanza Spalding, saxophonist Joe Lovano and pianist Leo Genovese performing as The Spring Quartet.

DeJohnette is an influential jazz drummer who has performed with Miles Davis, Sonny Rollins, Freddie Hubbard, Keith Jarret and a host of others.? [ Read more ]

Good stuff.. hopefully I can get down to see this. Would LOVE to see Spaulding's performance in person.
