James Carville signs deal to pundit-ize for Fox News

Tulane University professor, political advisor and New Orleans resident James Carville signed a deal today to become an on-air pundit for Fox News.

Carville, who was let go by CNN last year after a decade with the news network, has appeared as a guest on various networks since, and has been a guest on Fox, sparring with hosts including Bill O'Reilly and Megyn Kelly.

In a statement, Fox News executive vice president Bill Shine said, ?We are privileged to have him lend his breadth of experience, wit and dynamic perspective on the network.?

Carville was profiled in Gambit in 2010 and named the paper's New Orleanian of the Year for 2012. He was pressing the flesh and giving interviews last Saturday at Mayor Mitch Landrieu?s election night party at the Hyatt Regency.
