Advice???
 

My plane lands at MSY Saturday morning at 10:40 AM. The best hotel deal I could find was near the mall in Metarie, and check-in's not until 3:00 PM. Anybody got any advice on how to burn 4 hours in that part of town? I'll be hitting the Quarter later, so I don't wanna bother with parking twice. My girl grew up in New Orleans, and we'll probably have lunch somewhere (open to suggestions), but what's interesting over in Metarie?

The traffic is very interesting in Metarie.
You could get some seafood for lunch in \"Bucktown\". Which is the part of Metarie right off the lake, and butts up on the Orleans Parish line. There\'s quite a few restaurants right there, and I think most are good. And Lakeshore Drive is a pretty cool stretch of road right along the lake with parks along the way. It\'s in New Orleans, but it\'s close to Bucktown.

Advice???
 

I agree, get to Bucktown and eat at R n O\'s !!!!
