Now in its seventh year, Creepy Fest brings together all things punk with more than four dozen southern punk and hardcore bands and b-movie screenings in venues across New Orleans.*Most shows are free or in the $5 range.*Sheer Terror Records hosts the event, which spans*venues from downtown to Mid-City and Uptown from July 16-19.*

It's the festival's biggest year yet ? it started in 2009 with 12 bands over three nights as a promo event for a film soundtrack for local film company Terror Optics. "It kind of snowballed from there," says festival organizer Bill Heintz.?
