As we have done in previous elections, Gambit will endorse candidates for public office in Orleans and Jefferson parishes for the Oct. 24 primary and Nov. 21 runoff elections.

The races in which we plan to endorse include the following:

? State House and Senate races in Orleans and Jefferson parishes.

? Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE) in Orleans and Jefferson.

? Jefferson Parish elections for Council and parish president.

? Special election for Orleans Parish School Board.

In the legislative and BESE races, we will ask interested candidates to fill out questionnaires that we will use to guide our endorsement process. In other races, we will schedule in-person interviews.
