Kristen Essig to run kitchen at new Garden District restaurant Cavan

Meauxbar chef Kristen Essig will be the executive chef at Cavan (3607 Magazine St.), a restaurant opening in the Garden District next spring.

The restaurant is the newest project from the LeBlanc + Smith restaurant group,which runs the French Quarter new American bistro Sylvain, Lower Garden District whiskey haven Barrel Proof and Meauxbar.?
