French Quarter Fest presents free screenings of regional music documentaries
 The upcoming 2017 French Quarter Festival (April 6-9) will feature a strong lineup of documentaries about Louisiana music and culture, all screened at Le Petit Theatre du Vieux Carre (616 St. Peter Street). Included are Brother David an intimate portrait of late local songwriter David Egan; Sushi and Sauce Piquante: The Life and Music of Gerry McGee, which profiles the legendary guitarist (The Ventures, Jerry Lee Lewis) from Eunice, Louisiana; and By and By: New Orleans Gospel at the Crossroads.? |
