Entertaining article. This is one of those things that I have no control over, doesn't directly affect me or in no way has any bearing on my life, yet, I had a strong opinion on,

I wanted something more New-Orleansy, but in the end, I see the logic behind 'Pelicans', and I do like the team colors.

Hopefully Anthony Davis can keep them from being dubbed the -Pelican'ts-.

As a Louisiana native, I get it. It's the state bird, it's on our flag, and let's face it, those birds have survived a lot the last few years. They're tough.
