Re: Detroit Pistons forward Greg Monroe is looking forward to free agency period

When the Pistons got Monroe, I envisioned a great career with Detroit similar to that of another Louisiana native, Joe Dumars, . There's been many a night for the Pistons where Monroe has been the only bright spot on the court.

Big question now is what new H/C and Team President Stan Van Gundy is gonna' do. Some say he's already reached out to Monroe and intends to work with the talent he's got, as he did in Miami ... others are predicting he'll build a team around his big man (Andre Drummond) like he did in Orlando and it's bye-bye Monroe.

Lakers or Charlotte are rumored to be the most likely landing spots for Monroe, if he can get himself a max contract ... that's what's being bandied about, so it's all about the Benjamin's, I suppose.

I'm a big fan of playing for the home crowd, so I'd like to see him in NO. He played for some god-awful Piston teams and deserves some luv.

Monroe didn't work that well with Drummond so how similar of a style does Drummond have to Anthony Davis & could Monroe co-exist would be another question ...
