Tyreke Evans Injury: Updates on Pelicans Star's Recovery from Knee Surgery
 

Following an extremely productive 2014-15 season with the New Orleans Pelicans, guard Tyreke Evans underwent a procedure on his right knee Wednesday.

Evans' Knee Surgery Successful, No Timetable for Return

The Pelicans announced that the 25-year-old star underwent arthroscopic knee surgery Wednesday and that a timetable for his return to basketball activities will be determined soon.

The former University of Memphis standout averaged 16.6 points, 6.6 assists and 5.3 rebounds as a complement to Anthony Davis in his second season with the Pelicans.

He figures to be a huge part of what is an up-and-coming team in 2015-16 and beyond, which is likely why all parties involved decided to go through with the surgery so early in the offseason.

Provided his recovery goes as expected, there is every reason to believe that Evans will be ready to roll by the time next season commences.
