I read about this too. I also read (last year) Weiner's wife did not have adequate security clearance to work in the State Dept, then she suddenly got it.

Would need to know if others could possibly be awarded similar clearance with equally similar family history - mother, father and brother involved with an extreme activist religious group, Muslim Brotherhood, that has ties to terror organizations.

Aren't family ties and acquaintances taken into account for security clearance with the state department?

She has the right to say anything she pleases. Ignorant, crazy, hate-filled, groundless, untrue and racist comments are simply wrong and are not acceptable. It has nothing to do with her party affiliation. And there are many that share her party affiliation that are calling for her to stop with such comments. If you disagree with someones policies, say why and tell me what you would do differently. Simple. If you make serious charges against someone, provide the proof to back it up, and we'll go from there. Simple. I applaud Mr. McCain. The Republican party needs more like him.

We had one like him in the White House for eight years. That's how we ended up with Obama. McCain needs to retire and disappear completely from public life.
