Not sure about that... but.. he was rather unsure of his answers at the tail end as his verbal articulation was shaky at best. Powell has had a stellar career and is an American success story. He is entitled to his opinion even if it differs.

He's a very moderate Republican, I kind of expected him to be the country's first black president at one time ... don't know what happened to him, but he dances equally well on both sides of the aisle.

ALL promotions above the rank of Lt. Colonel are political. Hence, anyone that makes General know how to play the political game.

Powell has visions of future titles.

IDK, wasn't he being setup for VP or something before bowing out of the political arena? That was my impression, that he was kinda' fed up with the Republican Party and wouldn't run for office as a Democrat. I think he supports Obama more out of the opinion that Obama shakes up the status quo in D.C. more then any political viewpoints they may share.
