this is a discussion within the Poli-Sci Community Forum; It's amazing how most of you complained about President Obama before he even came into office, while having the opinion since that ALL of our nations problems magically started only four years ago, and now want to complain about him ...

Re: Sandy and the presidential election
It's amazing how most of you complained about President Obama before he even came into office, while having the opinion since that ALL of our nations problems magically started only four years ago, and now want to complain about him actually doing the job a President should do. LOL. In no way shape or form could he win with you guys. It goes to your Fox News and Republicans are the gospel, the whole gospel, and nothing but the gospel world view. Everyone else is evil. The President in not the problem. You guys are. Not just because you're Republicans. But, because you blindly
support politicians and one party only REGARDLESS of what they do or say. I don't support Romney. I'm scared to death of what his administration may mean to our nation. But, if he wins, I will give him the benefit of the doubt. I will judge him by his actions. If his administraion is good for this nation I will HAPPILY say I was wrong. |

Other then those two photo-ops by Obama & Romney, I haven't really seen any reporting that makes Obama's response to Sandy any less open to criticism than Bush's response to Katrina. But, and as with Bush's response to Katrina, I'm not really looking for critical reports because I've lived through a number of Cat 5 typhoons and a few Cat 3 Atlantic hurricanes and I know that when Mother Nature kicks your ass this bad, there's really no immediate response that's going to be adequate enough, regardless. The devastation caused by these kind of storms is just too much, as I'm sure everyone on B&G knows. What I've been seeing are the interviews of people standing in gas-lines or in their apartments with no power, food, heat, et... None of this, to me, makes Obama look any more responsive or presidential than Bush looked during Katrina, but I do notice the liberal press is a little more disinclined to sensationalize the tragedy of Sandy then they were with Katrina, which is one of your points and I do agree with that somewhat. What I haven't seen, yet, is something about this that makes Big Government look good. |

One. Just one. Otherwise stuff something in your pie hole and let the grown ups discuss the issues. |

A comment like "Otherwise stuff something in your pie hole and let the grown ups discuss the issues" clearly shows you are not capable of discussing like an adult. |

Nothing could be further from accurate. And if YOU can find a link, feel free. You won't. But go ahead and kill yourself trying. In fact I place blame PRECISELY where it belongs with regards to the economic issues in this country - and that is with EVERY administration before and including this one, at least as far back as Jimmy Carter. Further I blame the demise of our Constitution on the liberal agenda that Obama is merely a part of - hardly the inventor. I'm on record here many MANY times with statements such as these and others where I assess blame in virtually every political direction. I'm conservative/moderate, across the board. I'm not sure you're reading before reacting. I'm pretty heavy-handed on certain people around here to post links from one-sided outposts, with no perspective, and with a clear unwillingness to do more than toe the party line. It's too bad if you don't see this - or maybe (more likely) you don't like that about me. I have a suggestion for you: Get over it. I call it like I see it, with my own words. I'll have a debate with any of you on any topic, at any time, and I'll use reason, not rhetoric. That's the difference. That you can't see that isn't my problem. Feel free to engage me at any time and I'll be more than happy to explain to you the difference between intelligent conversation and regurgitation. |
